How to select lubricants for heavy equipment?

The maintenance of heavy machinery and equipment is an important to ensure the safe operation of the equipment and extend the service life of the bucket mini excavator. 1. Based on the grease recommendations in the equipment manual

 

When selecting lubricating oil for the equipment, the operation manual of the bucket bushing excavator must be taken as an important reference. Some manuals may not give a detailed introduction (some may be vague), but there are some suggestions.

 

 

2. Based on the ambient temperature of the equipment

 

In summer, look for grease with high viscosity. This is because the summer is hot and the temperature is high, and the oil will become thinner. Lubricating oil that is too thin cannot protect the parts because temperature directly affects the viscosity change and oxidative deterioration of industrial lubricants. For mechanical equipment operating under high temperature conditions for a long time, lubricating oils with high viscosity, high viscosity index, high flash point and good oxidation stability should be selected.

 

Look for low-viscosity grease in winter. Grease will solidify when it encounters low temperatures. In order to ensure that the oil reaches the nozzle fitting and flows through the joint correctly, a low-viscosity lubricant must be selected in winter.

 

 

3. Choose suitable lubricants according to different machinery engine parts of different equipment

 

It is not correct to use the same lubricant for all spare parts for machine. Although this saves the trouble of procurement and meticulous maintenance requirements, it is detrimental to construction machinery part maintenance. We have to choose the right lubricant according to the working temperature of different heavy machinery spare parts. If your equipment uses an automatic lubrication system, in some cases you may need lighter grease. 4. Choose lubricating oil according to the working load of mechanical equipment

 

Choose to start with the working load of the construction machine spare parts. The greater the working load, the greater the viscosity of the oil used. And the lubricants are required to have good extreme pressure resistance, and if the load is not very large, the viscosity of the selected lubricants will be relatively small. It can be selected according to the actual mechanical equipment load.

 

 

5. How to choose lubricating oil under humid conditions?

 

For jobs that require stable exposure of the machine to a humid environment, marine grease is usually the best choice. Some are made with lithium complex thickeners, but all thickeners can protect machine parts from salt and fresh water. In addition, most marine greases can also protect machinery under extreme pressure.
